For this joint branding between Coca-Cola and Liberty Island, Coca-Cola wanted a classic look and something that doesn't scream Coke (...for a change). &#38;lt;br&#38;gt;&#38;lt;br /&#38;gt;
I used a Coke bottle as one of New York skyscrapers, in greenish color of The Statue of Liberty, and an arched skyline indicates the shape of the statue's crown." border="0" align="left"/&#62;

Design Leadership Network

Design Leadership Network was born out of the success of the Design Leadership Summit, an annual gathering for leading architecture and interior design firms. The mission of both DLN and DLS is to provide architects and design professionals with resources and tools to strengthen their practices. 

The architecture and design communities, as one can imagine, cover a wide variety of esthetics in their work, from ultra modern to very traditional. The identity needed to appeal to both as well as everyone in between. I designed a cube as an icon, representing an architectural building block, with the DLN emerging. This was juxtaposed with a classic serif font, Baskerville, which spells out their full name.

Sauce Restaurant

Identity: Sauce is a new Italian restaurant / butcher shop in Lower East Side of New York City. The graphic identity featuring "grandma's wallpapers" with silhouettes of a pig, a cow and a "holy" sauce pot, mixes the chef's old world vision with a quirky modern spin.

Signage: The pure typographic treatment of the signage was inspired by old New York Italian grocery storefronts, where sometimes it feels like information overload. The types were hand-painted by a master craftsman Frank Smith who would take the train down from Albany for five straight days to meticulously paint the sign. The steadiest hands I've ever seen!

Eco Paper Towel

This is a package design for a paper towel, Eco, which is smaller than regular paper towels (9x9 in) and environment-friendly. Since paper towels are often displayed and sold as multi-packs, a modular system is implemented in order to create a stronger pattern as a group.

Why Do Men's Magazines Win All the Awards?

Since 2000, for the ASME Awards for Design, GQ has been nominated 3 times, Esquire has been nominated 4 times, won once, Details has been nominated 4 times, won twice. None of the top-selling women's magazines have been nominated. The same goes with the SPD awards.
I interviewed several design directors at various men’s and women’s magazines, wrote the copy, designed the layout, and at the end of the book, I proposed 3 stages of Glamour redesign ideas.

The Salvation Army

These invitations were created for The Salvation Army's most recent Book Club Luncheon events, featuring Mark Whitaker and Hoda Kotb.
The Book Club Luncheon Series features well-known authors who embody the work and ideals of The Salvation Army. The series started in January 2009, to engage more donors in the economic downturn. It since became a staple in their donor events roster, with 3-4 book club events every year.

For each event, we aim to create a beautiful invitation package that can attract donors to the event, as well as convey the personality of each author's. The invitation for the Mark Whitaker event, for example, was more earnest and a bit retro, like his book jacket, whereas the Hoda Kotb invitation was more on the bright and bubbly side to reflect her cheerful personality.</description>

A Slacker's Ambition

We all have grand plans, don't we?
I wanted to start a personal project but my old computer was very slow, and I thought, “Maybe I should buy a new computer before starting any project,” which was, of course, an excuse of a slacker. Eventually, I did buy a new computer and I started and finished this project, so I’d say everything was all good at the end.
